Success in Art

Success or failure in art, or any endeavor,
is determined by a modifiable set of criteria.
Who sets the criteria? We all do.
It could be money, color, getting into a show,
getting into someone's pants, adhering to a set of rules,
anything. One's intent sets the criteria in the artist's mind; 
expectation, in the viewer's.
